January 11, 1948 to March 15, 2008 Wayne passed away peacefully at his residence in Listowel on Saturday March 15, 2008. He was born 60 years ago in Stratford, a son of the late Franklin and Elsie (Demmerling) Bowman. Wayne was a member of Calvary United Church, Listowel. He was well known in the community as an antique dealer. Wayne was the beloved husband of Gloria (Jacklin) Bowman whom he married in 1973; the loving father of Charlotte Bowman of Toronto and Virginia Bowman of London and the dear brother of Graham Bowman of Kurtzville. Also remembered by his mother-in-law Doris Jacklin, brothers-in-law Barry Jacklin and Keith Jacklin all of R.R.#2 Bluevale and by his nieces & nephews. Wayne was predeceased by his sister Susan Fisher, father-in-law Archie Jacklin and sister-in-law Ruth Farrish. As per Wayne's wishes, there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place and a grave side service will be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Ethel in the spring. March 24, 1947 to March 14, 2008 Brian passed away at his residence in Atwood on Friday March 14, 2008. He was born 60 years ago in Northern Ireland, a son of the late William and Winnifred (Bailie) Tormey. Brian worked with the local farming community as an owner/manager of Atwood Farm Supplies. He served on the Board of Managers of Atwood Presbyterian Church; was a member of the Atwood Volunteer Fire Department for over 25 years reaching the distinction of Captain and a former member of the Atwood Lion's Club. Brian was the devoted husband, father and papa of Kate (Rourke) Tormey of Atwood; Shane and Stacey Tormey and their son Nathan of Listowel, Sharon and Dave Strickler and their children Benjamin and Andrew of RR#1 Atwood. He will be missed by his brother Bill Tormey of Winnipeg, his extended family in Northern Ireland, his walking companion Shona and by many nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Ed. She was born 98 years ago in Logan Township, a daughter of the late John and Maud (McNaught) Melville. Nancy was a former member of Knox Presbyterian Church, Monkton where she received the distinction as a life member of the Women's Missionary Society of the Presbyterian Church in Canada. She was a past member of the Monkton Chapter of the Rebekah Lodge. Beloved wife of the late John Boyd who predeceased her in 1959. Loving mother of Jim and Jean of Listowel, Bill and Shirley of Point Clark, Carolyn Yundt of Stratford, Larry and Jane of Miller Lake, Pat and Marie of Sauble Beach. Special grandma of 14 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Also remembered by her daughter-in-law Lois Boyd-Mueller and her husband Bob of Monkton. Predeceased by her son Jack, son-in-law Ron Yundt, her sister Laura and great granddaughter Nealie. Faye was a member of the Rebekah Lodge Atwood Chapter No.343, Donegal United Church and a former member of the Donegal UCW. She will be remembered by the community as a long time employee of Knollcrest Lodge and as a custodian at Elma Township Public School. Beloved wife of the late Angus Matheson who predeceased her in 1994. Loving mother of Murray (Gus) and Adele of Milverton, Mary Ellen and Gary Wirth of Stratford, Bill and Mich of Listowel, Barb and Ron Robertson of Atwood, Brenda and Glen Crawford of Moncrieff, Mark and Marilyn of Milverton and Kevin and Jo-Ann of Listowel. Ed was born 74 years ago in Wellesley Township, a son of the late Clayton and Magdalena (Gerber) Leis. He was a member of Poole Mennonite Church where he served as Elder, Sunday School Superintendent and teacher. Ed blessed his church family with his musical talent as song leader and musician. Beloved husband of Lydiann (Zehr) Leis whom he married in 1956. Loving father of Doug and Cheryl of Wiarton, Judy and Tim Yantzi of RR#2 Tavistock, Rob and Brenda of RR#1 Newton, Val and Robert Bender of RR#2 Wellesley, Don and Julie of Wellesley, Sherry and Metaxas Makedos of RR#2 Tavistock. She was born 92 years ago in Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Horace and Anna (Kolb) Longacre. She was the beloved wife of the late Royden Nigh. Mabel will be remembered by her sister Edith L. Yoder of Delaware U.S.A. and by many nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by four sisters. A funeral service to celebrate Mabel's life was held at Countryview Retirement Home on Monday December 31, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Fred Lichti officiating. He resided in Listowel and was born 85 years ago in North Easthope Township, a son of the late Walter and Florence (Cockwell) Sage. Charles was an avid Montreal Canadian fan. He was the beloved husband of the late Marie Sage who predeceased him in 1999; the loving father of Evon and Don Cochrane of Ethel and Ron and fiance Sharon of Listowel; the special grandpa of Rob, Steve, Mandy and friend Calvin, Adam and friend Samantha, Alisha, Alexis, Allanis; and great grandpa of Tyler, Kyle, Brayden and McKenna. Charles will also be remembered by many nieces and nephews and the Hartman family. He was predeceased by his son George, daughter-in-law Carolyn, grand-daughter Jowell, his sister in infancy and half-brother Skip Sage.
