Willa Ament

February 13, 1934 to November 6, 2016

Willa Ament – formerly of Atwood, passed away peacefully at Caressant Care Nursing Home, Listowel on Sunday November 6, 2016 at the age of 82. Willa was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church, Listowel. She enjoyed knitting, time spent at the trailer in Port Elgin, campfires, singing, playing cards and board games and especially cherished time spent with her grandchildren. Beloved wife of the late Gordon Ament who predeceased her in 2000. Loving mother of Brian (predeceased 1985), Linda (Keith) Holmes and Paul (Mary Lynne) Ament. Special grandma of Kelly (Wes) and their children Aaron and Brennen; Stacey, Mark (Lindsey), Marlee and Brynn. Sister-in-law of Edith Schalk and Eileen Ament. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Willa was the last surviving member of her family being predeceased by her parents Gerard Sr. and Marie (Schyff) Schalk, brothers Henk (Janet), Cor (Joyce), Gerard, and sister Erna (Bill) Lucas. Relatives and friends are invited to share their memories at the Brenneman Funeral Home, 141 John Street, Atwood (519-356-2382), on Tuesday November 8 from 7 to 9 p.m. where the funeral service to celebrate her life will be held on Wednesday November 9, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev.
