Vera Louise Pehlke-Lindne

October 9, 1926 to May 23, 2015

Vera Louise Pehlke-Lindner passed away peacefully at Guelph General Hospital on Saturday May 23, 2015 at the age of 88. She was born on October 9, 1926 to William and Freda (Kahle) Bennewies. On June 2, 1948 she married Wilfred Pehlke. They farmed in Elma Township until they retired to Monkton In May of 1979. Wilfred passed away December 26, 1979. She later married Milton Lindner on June 23, 1984 and he passed away October 16, 2001. Survived by her children Howard and Ruth Anne, Linda, Ron and Jacquie, Jeff, Brad, Steven and companion Norma Wilker, her brother Ivan Bennewies and his friend Vera Ahrens. Remembered by her grandchildren, Kim, Janice (Trevor McLeod), Lee, David, Barb and Tonya, great grandchildren Michelle and Andrew and many nieces and nephews. Sister-in-law of Lorene Ryan, Lillian and George Smith, Elsie Tryfry and Joan Pehlke. Fondly remembered by five step-children Bernice Lindner, Wayne and Dianne Lindner, Maryann and Norm Yost, Linda Lindner, Murray and Lorraine Lindner, Mark and Patty-Jo Lindner, several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. Predeceased by her son Roger Pehlke, step son David Lindner, sister Ellen and husband Alvin Schellenberger, brothers Harvey and wife Gertie, Fred, Lloyd and Roy, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Hazel Bennewies, Marjorie Bennewies, Esther and Henry Knechtel, Frieda and Leo Mueller, Hilda and Rolly Shore, Ruth and Murray Hammond, Laura and husbands Charlie Schultz and John Anstett, Grant and Ella Hastings, Ron Alder, Wilfred Tryfry, Jack Ryan and Harold Pehlke. Relatives and friends are invited to share their memories at the Brenneman Funeral Home, 141 John Street, Atwood (519-356-2382), on Tuesday May 26 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service to celebrate her life will be held on Wednesday May 27, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Marvin Bublitz officiating. Interment in Redeemer Lutheran Cemetery, Monkton.
