Thelma Wick

May 28, 1911 to July 13, 2008

Thelma passed away peacefully at her residence in Ritz Lutheran Villa, Mitchell on Sunday July 13, 2008 in her 98th year. She was born in North Easthope Township in 1911, a daughter of the late William and Emma (Heyer) Dewing. In 1930 she married Clarence Frederick Wick, who predeceased her in 1967. They lived in Monkton all of their married life. Thelma moved to Ritz Villa in December 1985. She was a member of Monkton United Church. Left to mourn her, are daughters Doris Allen of Barrie, Audrey (Les) Simonffy of Hamilton, sons Fred (Edna) of St. Marys and Gary (Elnor) of Monkton. She will be missed by 15 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, a number of in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her daughter Marleen Wick, her sister Margaret Ward, brothers Gordon Dewing and Nelson Dewing, sons-in-law Gerald Fitzpatrick, Ivan Allen and Mervyn Hall. Thelma's family invites relatives and friends to share their memories at the Brenneman Funeral Home 141 John Street, Atwood, on Tuesday July 15, 2008 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of funeral service at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Alex McGilvery officiating. Interment to follow in Elma Centre Cemetery, Atwood.
