Susan Laidlaw

of RR1 Atwood, passed away peacefully at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Thursday November 29, 2018 at the age of 57. Susan was a member of Atwood United Church. She cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. Susan enjoyed helping out on the family farm even while she was working full time. Beloved wife of Doug Laidlaw whom she married in 1984. Loving mother of Andrew (Sandra Archer), Melissa Bijman (Thomas) and Ryan. Special grandma of Brooklyn and Autumn. Dear daughter of Irene Wilson and sister of Barb Buchanan (Lyle). Daughter-in-law of Vivien Laidlaw and sister-in-law of Sandra Wesselink (Ben), Don Laidlaw (Linda), Karen Laidlaw, Jerry Laidlaw (Barb), Rosemary Galloway (Jim Brubaker), and Kevin Laidlaw (Anna). Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her father George Wilson, father-in-law Ken Laidlaw and brother-in-law Robert Laidlaw. In keeping with Susan’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will be held at the Brenneman Funeral Home, 141 John Street, Atwood (519-356-2382), on Tuesday December 4, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A private graveside service will be held at Elma Centre Cemetery, Atwood.
