Stewart Gilkinson

August 13, 1933 to February 14, 2015

Stewart Gilkinson of Listowel, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Saturday February 14, 2015 at the age of 81. Stewart was a member of the Britton Loyal Orange Lodge No. 677. Beloved husband of the late Beatrice Gilkinson who predeceased him on September 24, 2014. Loving father of Allen Gilkinson, and Margaret and Dave Quinlan. Special grandpa of Erin and Jason Cressman and daughter Kelsey, Lacey Ruppel and friend Chad; Jenna Ruppel and Jamie Scott; Mike and Rebekah Quinlan and children Esther Grace, Caden and Asher; Robyn and Chris Raben and children Tyler, Wyatt and Briar; David Quinlan Jr.; and Danielle Quinlan. Brother of Doug and Joanne, Bob and Sandra, Larry and Helena, John, Eleanor Gilkinson, Wayne and Sharon, Norma and George Bradley, Dorothy Reddon, Beth Stone, Phyllis and Ron McCluskie, Anne Ouelette, and Marion Anderson. Fondly remembered by Joe Ruppel, Don McNalley, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Predeceased by his parents Lloyd and Mary (Hume) Gilkinson, his son Steven and brothers-in-law Glen Reddon and Jim Stone. A memorial service to celebrate Stewart's life will be held at The Salvation Army, 625 Main Street East, Listowel on Friday February 20, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. Spring interment in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.
