Orvilla Fleischauer

January 27, 1922 to November 26, 2008

Orvilla Fleischauer, formerly of Listowel, passed away peacefully at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Wednesday November 26, 2008. She resided at RR3 Brussels with her daughter Brenda and son-in-law Greg. She was born 86 years ago in Elma Township, a daughter of the late Stanley and Myrtle (Cummings) Struthers. Orvilla was a member of Atwood United Church and a former member of the Listowel UCW. She enjoyed bingo, cards, dancing, playing piano, sewing and knitting. Orvilla lived a full and wonderful life. With husband Herb, they owned and operated the Listowel Drive-In Restaurant for 14 years. For many years, she drove school bus for Newry Coach Lines. Orvilla loved to sell Avon and did so for 31 years. Her witty mind, twinkling eyes and contagious smile will always be remembered by her family and those who had the opportunity to know her.

Beloved wife of the late Herb Fleischauer who predeceased her in 1993. Loving mother of Dianne Deranger of Windsor, Barbara and Ron Torlone of Virgil, Brenda and Greg Nicholls of Brussels. Special grandma Orv of Christian Schmalz of Windsor, Jason (Joy) Winch of Wabash, Indiana, Nicole (David) Royer of Virgil, Paul (Sabina) Nicholls of Engelhart, Dwaine (Vicki) Nicholls of Trowbridge, Chad (Jennifer) Nicholls of Elmira. Cherished great-grandma Dorf of Brad, Kyle, Krista Winch of Brantford, Vali Reed of Wabash, Avery and Ethan Royer of Virgil, Kelsey and Gillian Nicholls of Englehart, Matthew MacDonald of Elmira, Macy, Tory and Waiden Nicholls of Trowbridge. Sister of Isabel and Tony Pandur of London, Jim and Marjorie Struthers of Ethel. Sister-in-law of Bob Huras and Marj Gabel of Waterloo, Lorne and Florence Fleischauer of Kitchener, Irwin and Eileen Fleischauer of Listowel. Also remembered by many nieces & nephews.

Predeceased by her sisters Mary (Gordon) Danbrook, Myrtle Huras, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Bill (Ruby) Fleischauer, Herman (Eileen) Fleischauer, Hattie (Carl) Graff.

Orvilla's family invites relatives and friends to share their memories at the Brenneman Funeral Home 141 John Street, Atwood, on Saturday November 29, 2008 from 12:30 p.m. until the time of funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Rev. George Russell and Rev. Michelle Owens will officiate. Interment to follow in Donegal Cemetery.
