Nelson Haddow

July 10, 1928 to June 1, 2019

Nelson Haddow – of Listowel, passed away peacefully at his son’s residence, RR1 Brunner on Saturday June 1, 2019 at the age of 90. Nelson was a member of Atwood Presbyterian Church. He was a former member of the Huron Perth Thrashers Association, enjoying taking his steam engine to many area steam shows. Nelson also enjoyed dancing at many Saturday evening dances. Beloved husband of the late Joyce Haddow who predeceased him in 2008. Loving father of Reid and Brian, special grandpa of Steve and Ricky and great-grandpa of Jessie and Kaitlyn. Brother of Shirley Binning. Fondly remembered by Bernice Stemmler and her family, many nieces, nephews and the extended Reid and Duncan families. Predeceased by his parents William and Hazel (Duncan) Haddow, his son Bill (2007) and brother-in-law Jack Binning. In keeping with Nelson’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at the Brenneman Funeral Home, 141 John Street, Atwood (519-356-2382), on Friday June 7, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Ernie Naylor officiating. Private family interment in Elma Centre Cemetery, Atwood.
