Mayda Scholl formerly of Monkton, passed away peacefully at Ritz Lutheran Villa on Thursday July 15, 2010 at the age of 83. Mayda was a strong supporter and member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Monkton where she had been active in the Lutheran Women's Missionary League, a Sunday School teacher and Sunday School treasurer. She enjoyed playing piano and singing in the church choir. Beloved wife of the late Lorne Scholl who predeceased her in 1996. Loving mother of Dave and Brenda of Goderich, Doug and Peggy of Monkton, Esther Demczak and friend Ron Nowell of Cloyne, Murray and friend Kim Schaefer of Ilderton. Special grandma of Darren, Kendra, Randy, Laura, Ken, Karen, Paul, Mark, Katie, Brad, Graham, Jamie and great grandma of Natalie and Owen. Dear sister of Jean and Richard Haalboom of Kitchener. Fondly remembered by sisters-in-law Reta Scholl of London, Laureen Smith of Mitchell, Charlotte Scholl of Stratford and brother-in-law Louis and his wife Hattie Scholl of Belle River and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her parents George and Esther (Schineman) Mueller. Mayda's family invites relatives and friends to share their memories at the Brenneman Funeral Home 141 John Street, Atwood (519-356-2382), on Sunday July 18, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate her life will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Monkton on Monday July 19, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Marvin Bublitz officiating. Interment in Redeemer Lutheran Cemetery, Monkton.
