Martha Ames

July 26, 1945 to July 6, 2010

Martha Ames of Listowel and formerly of RR2 Atwood, passed away suddenly on Tuesday July 6, 2010 in her 65th year. Martha was a member of Donegal United Church. She enjoyed quilting but especially loved spending time with her family. Wife of the late Malcolm Ames who predeceased her in 1993. Loving mother of Shiela Ames and Matt Hodgkinson, George Ames all of Listowel and Joan and Bruce Pehlke of Trowbridge. Special grandmother of Makayla, Mac, Justin and Brandon. Daughter of Murray Hall of Essex and the late Jean (Mulcaster) Hall. Dear sister of Linda and Don Raymont, Connie and Wayne Stockwell all of Cottom, Joan and Mel Hutchinson, Barb and Dave Gagnon, Stan and Heidi Hall, Tom and Wendy Hall, Bob Hall all of Essex. Fondly remembered by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Gerald and Joyce Ames of London, Bryan and Brenda Ames of Atwood, Shirley Ames-Bittorf and Dave Bittorf of Owen Sound and many nieces & nephews. Martha's family invites relatives and friends to share their memories at the Brenneman Funeral Home, 141 John Street, Atwood, on Thursday July 8, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday July 9, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Ruth Long officiating. Interment in Donegal Cemetery.
