Marie Liebrock passed away peacefully at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Tuesday January 13, 2009. She resided at Caressant Care Listowel and was formerly of Atwood. Marie was born 90 years ago in North Colchester Township, a daughter of the late George and Ruby (Pentland) Salter. Marie was a member of Atwood United Church where she enjoyed quilting with the UCW. She was a former 4-H leader, a member of the Maple Leaf W.I. and the Atwood Chapter of the Rebekah Lodge No. 343. Beloved wife of the late Earl Liebrock who predeceased her in 1994. Loving mother of Frances and Doug Button of Teeswater, Donald Liebrock of Putnam, Kathryn and Robin McCabe of Richmond BC. Special grandma of Sheila (Dave) Gibson, Shelley (Dave) Nobbs, Darryl (Karla) Button, Shari (Scott) Morash, Lahneen Liebrock, Laverne (Lisa) Liebrock, Laureen (Jasson) Rea, Amanda (Liam) Dunn, Michael McCabe, Christopher McCabe, great-grandma of Holly, Emily, Abbey, Samantha, Paige, Lukas, Brooklyn, Lily, Sarah, Sydney and Brody. Dear sister of Kenneth (Eileen) Salter and Ilene (Ernest) Sayers. Also remembered by her brother-in-law Thomas Allison and by many nieces & nephews. Predeceased by her brothers Murray in infancy and Elmer and his wife Viola Salter, her sisters Dorothy Allison and Luella Mulcaster-Kinkead and her husbands Clarence Mulcaster and Sam Kinkead and brother-in-law Edwin Plant. Marie's family invites relatives and friends to share their memories at the Brenneman Funeral Home 141 John Street, Atwood, on Friday January 16, 2009 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service to celebrate Marie's life will be held on Saturday January 17, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Michelle Owens officiating. Spring interment in Elma Centre Cemetery, Atwood.
