Lawrence Edgar

Lawrence passed away peacefully at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Thursday December 3, 2009. He resided in Listowel and was born 85 years ago in Elma Township, a son of the late William and Carrie (Hanna) Edgar. Lawrence was a member of St. Alban & St. David Anglican Church, Atwood and a past member of the Atwood Chapter of the Loyal Orange Lodge No. 630. He took great pride in the seven violins that he crafted and enjoyed playing them in the Country Cousins along with his wife Anne and friends Larry Smith and Garnet Smith. Beloved husband of Anne (Hull) Edgar whom he married in 1955; loving father of Dan and Madelon of Atwood, Dave of RR #1 Atwood, Steven of RR #1 Atwood, Rob and Jennifer of Hamilton, Colleen and Darren Bishop of Font Hill; special grandpa of Athena and fiance Justin, Brittany, Mark and Julie, Megan, Erin, Blair, Brooke and Blake. Fondly remembered by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Charles and Dorothy Hull of Welland, Bill and Tonia Hull of Credition, Marian Knox of Clinton and by many nieces & nephews. Lawrence's family invites relatives and friends to share their memories at the Brenneman Funeral Home 141 John Street, Atwood (519-356-2382), on Saturday December 5, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. until time of the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. George Russell officiating. Interment to follow in Elma Centre Cemetery, Atwood.
