Klaas Kroesen

February 13, 1938 - April 25, 2024

of Monkton passed away suddenly at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Thursday April 25, 2024 at the age of 86 after a fall in his home. Klaas, who was retired from Maple Leaf Mills, was a volunteer firefighter, a former president of the Monkton Lions Club, and an avid card player.

Beloved husband of the late Janet Kroesen whom he married on March 23, 1966.

Devoted father to Jennyfer Simpson (Frederick Moffat Jr.), Hugh Simpson (Lana), Christine Simpson (Michael Sesto) and Victoria Simpson. Grandfather of Amy Simpson, Stephanie Simpson (Tyler Yates), Candice Simpson, Fred Moffat III (Jen), Schuyler Moffat and great-grandfather of James, Kate, Peyton, Nico and Craig.

Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews and good friend Doug McEwen. Survived by Antonia Turton (the late George), John Kroesen (Liswanty), Henry Kroesen (Donna), Grietje Jacklin (the late Russel), Adriana Corbeil and Anton Kroesen (Linda).

Private family arrangements have been entrusted to Brenneman Funeral Home, Atwood. Interment in Elma Centre Cemetery, Atwood.
