Jo-Anne Hurst

December 26, 1955 to October 8, 2016

Jo-Anne Hurst – of Newry, after a 4 1/2 year illness passed away peacefully with her husband by her side at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Saturday October 8, 2016 at the age of 60. For many years Jo-Anne worked for Newry and Monkton Veterinary Services. She then started her own secretarial services business with 22 years at Hutchinson Welding and 14 years at Maitland Terrace. Jo-Anne’s commitment and gift to the work force was her compassion and love she extended to everyone she touched. Beloved wife of Glen Hurst whom she married in 1974. Loving mother of Ann-Marie (Ken) Rehberg and Travis Hurst. Special nana of Jocelyn who predeceased her in 2012 and Jordan Rehberg. Dear sister of Gerard (Karenann) Herrgott, Donna Herrgott, Julie (Rick) Brubacher and sister-in-law of Lloyd (Mary Ann) Hurst. Fondly remembered by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her parents Tommy and Annette (Siopiolosz) Herrgott. Relatives and friends are invited to share their memories at the Brenneman Funeral Home, 141 John Street, Atwood (519-356-2382), on Tuesday October 11 from 1-4 and 7-9 p.m. with Parish prayers at 6:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Listowel on Wednesday October 12th, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Father K.P. Morrison officiating. Cremation to follow.
