Jerry Beyer

July 5, 1953 to August 30, 2013

Jerry Beyer of Atwood, passed away peacefully after a short battle with cancer, at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Friday August 30, 2013 at the age of 60. Jerry was a motorcycle enthusiast who enjoyed cleaning and fixing his bike and riding with his wife Patricia and their friends. Beloved husband of Patricia (Struyk) Beyer whom he married in 1995. Loving father of Korey and Jordan. Dear brother of Lavern and Gloria Beyer, Sharlene Beyer all of Listowel, Joy and Dan Kelly of Atwood. Son-in-law of Egbert and Trude Struyk of Listowel. Fondly remembered by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Clarence Johnston of Atwood, Wanda and Frank Rozendal of Clinton, Arnold Struyk, Emily Greydanus and Graham Somerville, Jim Greydanus all of Listowel, Shirley and Ray Boonstra of Palmerston, Hilary and Stephanie Struyk of Listowel, Arlene and Brian Binkley of Clifford, Melissa and Chris Stege of Listowel, Linda and Dan Pearson of Atwood and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Howard and Elsie (Bartmann) Beyer, sisters Maxine Johnston, Sheila Ann in infancy and brother-in-law David Hansma. Visitation will be held at Bethel Christian Reformed Church, 345 Elizabeth Street East, Listowel on Monday September 2 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service to celebrate Jerry's life will be held on Tuesday September 3, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Ralph Dwarika officiating. Cremation to follow with interment in Elma Centre Cemetery at a later date.
