Jen Murray

October 17, 1916 to June 9, 2016

Jean Murray – formerly of Listowel, passed away peacefully at Brucelea Haven Nursing Home, Walkerton on Thursday June 9, 2016 at the age of 99. Jean was a licensed hairdresser, enjoyed sewing and was an avid gardener. Beloved wife of the late Robert Murray who predeceased her in 1981. Loving mother of Wayne (predeceased in 2013) and Gail Murray. Cherished grandmother of Stephen (Susan) and Mike (Joanne) and great grandmother of Shealin, Jacinta, Travis and Courtney. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Jean was the last surviving member of her family being predeceased by her parents Harry and Margaret (Haddow) Longman, brothers Britt (Lillian) Longman, Harvey in infancy and sisters Bedah (Cecil) Jones, Vera (Ross) Peirson. In keeping with Jean’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Listowel Pentecostal Church, 5629 Hwy 86 on Saturday July 9, 2016 from 10 to 10:45 a.m. followed by the memorial service at 11:00 with Pastor Keven Rooney officiating. Interment has taken place in Elma Centre Cemetery, Atwood.
