Jean L. Ballantyne formerly of Atwood and Listowel, passed away peacefully at her residence in Knollcrest Lodge, Milverton on Monday March 30, 2015 at the age of 95. Jean was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church, Listowel where she had served as elder. She was also a member of the Willing Workers and a 50 year member of the Elma Centre Women's Institute. Jean was the librarian at the Listowel Library for over 25 years. Along with Brad Scheifele, Jean organized many bus trips for seniors to places in Canada and the United States. Dear sister-in-law of Jean M. Ballantyne of Listowel. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was the last surviving member of her family, being predeceased by her parents John and Alice (Coghlin) Ballantyne, her sisters Annie and her husband Harry Gould, Agnes and her husband Bill Harrow, her brothers Robert and his wife Ann Ballantyne, Jack Ballantyne, Gordon Ballantyne and one brother in infancy. Relatives and friends are invited to share their memories at the Brenneman Funeral Home, 141 John Street, Atwood (519-356-2382), on Wednesday April 1st from 7 to 9 p.m. where the funeral service to celebrate her life will be held on Thursday April 2, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev.
