Fred Ludington, of Atwood, passed away peacefully at his residence with his family by his side on Wednesday January 12, 2011 after a brief battle with cancer at the age of 76. Fred was a member of Calvary United Church, Listowel. He enjoyed farming, hunting, his years driving school bus and blowing snow for Atwood businesses and residences. Fred was also very proud of his family heritage. Beloved husband of Audrey (Baillie) Ludington whom he married in 1956. Loving father of David and Gayle Ludington of Atwood and Kristen and Bill Warden of Waterloo. Special grandpa of Laura and Joe Kerr and their children Bensen and Gavin, Nicole and Mike Boneschansker, Mary Pat Ludington and Carter Warden. Fondly remembered by Lenore Moser. Dear brother of Eric and Carole, Alvin and Judy all of Listowel, Ross and Margaret of Wingham, Gordon and Barb of Wellesley, Doris and Jim Harrow of Milverton. Also remembered by the Baillie family and many nieces & nephews. Predeceased by his parents Ken and Laura (Harrison) Ludington, his brother Keith in infancy, sister-in-law Pauline Ludington and nephew Paul Ludington. Fred's family invites relatives and friends to share their memories at the Brenneman Funeral Home, 141 John Street, Atwood, on Friday January 14, 2011 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Fred's life will be held at Calvary United Church, Listowel on Saturday January 15, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. George Russell officiating. Spring interment in Elma Centre Cemetery, Atwood.
