Fern Stemmler passed away peacefully at South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Durham on Saturday March 27, 2010. She resided at Rockwood Terrace, Durham and was born 75 years ago in Wellesley Township, a daughter of the late James and Elizabeth (Birmingham) McMahon. Beloved wife of the late William Stemmler who predeceased her in 1994. Loving mother of Carl of Saskatchewan, Barb and Bob Illman of RR1 Wroxeter, Colleen and Dennis Keith of RR1 Wallenstein, Lorie Kuepfer and Eugene Gallucci of Port Elgin and Jim of Guelph. Missed by her grandchildren Lyndsey, Kevin and their daughter Ella; Matthew and friend Delrae; Shane; Devin; step-grandchildren Jesse and his son Justin; Trevor; Cory, Candace and their children Morgan, Aiden, Addison. Dear sister of Frank McMahon of Kitchener, Jim and Marg McMahon of Gorrie and sister-in-law of Jack Hanley of Linwood, Carol McMahon of Linwood and Bruce Reibling of Tiverton. Fondly remembered by Laverne Kuepfer and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her daughters Sandra, Darlene and Carolyn, brother Russ McMahon, sisters Rita Sachs and her husband Bob, Helen Hanley, Kay Reibling, and sister-in-law Marg McMahon. Fern's family invites relatives and friends to share their memories at the Brenneman Funeral Home 141 John Street, Atwood (519-356-2382), on Tuesday March 30, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service to celebrate Fern's life will be held on Wednesday March 31, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Karen Stemmler officiating. Interment in St. Mary's R.C. Cemetery, Hesson.
