Evelyn Nichol

August 3, 1923 to December 22, 2011

Evelyn Nichol, formerly of Route 2 Listowel, passed away peacefully at her residence in Knollcrest Lodge, Milverton on Thursday December 22, 2011 at the age of 88. Evelyn was a member of Atwood Presbyterian Church where she was a life member of the Women's Missionary Society. She was a former member of the Maple Leaf Women's Institute and enjoyed needlework when relaxing. Beloved wife of the late Weldon Nichol who predeceased her in 2006. Loving mother of Linda and Ross Robertson of Atwood, Marlene and Lorne Heinmiller of Route 1 Gownstown and Robert Nichol of Route 2 Listowel. Special grandma of Lisa and Glen Taylor, Craig and Brenda Robertson, Steve Heinmiller, Brent Heinmiller and great grandma of Blake, Taarna and Lance Taylor. Dear sister of Della Hood of Listowel and Sharon Grubb of Mildmay and sister-in-law of Doris Jacklin of Brussels and Twyla Jacklin of Molesworth. Fondly remembered by many nieces & nephews. Predeceased by her parents Joseph E. and Lily Mae (Conley) Jacklin, sons James and Bruce in infancy, granddaughter Jill Heinmiller, brothers Archie Jacklin, George Jacklin (in infancy), Glen Jacklin and friend Mona, Lloyd Jacklin, sisters Marjorie Bray and husband Stan, Myrtle Jacklin and brothers-in-law Stirling Hood and Bob Grubb. Evelyn's family invites relatives and friends to share their memories at the Atwood Presbyterian Church, Monument Road, Atwood, on Saturday December 24, 2011 from 11:00 am until 12:45 p.m. where the funeral service to celebrate her life will be held at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Andrew Thompson officiating. Interment in Elma Centre Cemetery, Atwood.
