Elgin Wilson

August 22, 1928 to December 27, 2011

Elgin Wilson, of Atwood passed away peacefully at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Tuesday December 27, 2011 at the age of 83. Elgin was a member of Atwood United Church and the former Loyal Orange Lodge Atwood No. 630. Beloved husband of the late Marguerite (Johnson) Wilson who predeceased him in 2004. Loving father of Marie and Kevin Semple and Tom and Sherri Wilson all of Listowel. Special grandpa of Brydone Semple and friend Samantha Edgar, Matthew Semple, Joey, Zach, and Katelyn Wilson. Dear twin brother of Elwood and his wife Ferne of Newry and brother-in-law of Irene Wilson, Dorothy and Jim Barton all of Atwood and Elaine Carson of Listowel. Fondly remembered by many nieces & nephews. Predeceased by his parents Bert and Elva (Cuthbertson) Wilson, sisters Dorothy and Beth, brother George, sister-in-law Ruth and her husband Clayton Johnston and brother-in-law Albert Carson. Elgin's family invites relatives and friends to share their memories at the Brenneman Funeral Home, 141 John Street, Atwood, on Thursday December 29th from 7-9 p.m. and on Friday December 30th from 10:00 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Michelle Owens officiating. Interment in Elma Centre Cemetery, Atwood.
