Doris Jacklin passed away peacefully at her residence in Huronlea Home for the Aged, Brussels on Monday April 29, 2013 at the age of 88. Doris was formerly of RR2 Bluevale, was a member of the former Ethel United Church and Ethel Women's Institute. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, bingo and had received numerous trophies for her bowling at Molesworth Lanes. Beloved wife of the late Archie Jacklin who predeceased her in 1995. Loving mother of Gloria Bowman of Listowel. Predeceased by her children Barry (2008), Keith (2009) and Ruth (2003). Special grandma of Barry and Laura, Wayne and Doreen, Tammy, Trevor and Carrie, Charlotte, Virginia, Mike and Janey and great grandma of Jordon, Destin, Daunte, Brody, Taylor, Shaelee, Abbey, Amelia and Zoe. Dear sister of Elmer and Eileen Hall of Trowbridge, Mildred Schnock of Dublin and Edith Stevenson of Ethel. Fondly remembered by many nieces & nephews. Predeceased by her parents Sandy and Lily (Jacklin) Hall, son-in-law Wayne Bowman, brothers Gordon and Lorraine, Wilbur and Marlene, Lloyd and Evelyn, and Mervin, sister Marie and Stanley Willfong, brothers-in-law Ken Schnock and Charlie Stevenson. Relatives and friends are invited to share their memories at the Brenneman Funeral Home, 141 John Street, Atwood (519-356-2382), on Thursday May 2, 2013 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. where the memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday May 3 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Sandra Cable officiating. Interment in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Ethel.
