Diane Dietrich, of RR3 Monkton, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer, at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Sunday February 12, 2012 at the age of 58. Diane was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Monkton, where she spent many hours volunteering at church events, teaching Sunday School and filling the role of church secretary. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, canning but most of all enjoyed the time spent with her family and her grandchildren. Beloved wife of Terry Dietrich whom she married in 1979. Loving mother of Pam and Larry Stewart of Fullarton, Lisa and Jamie Gibbings of Mitchell, Bill and Erika Dietrich of Atwood, Brian Dietrich and Terri-Lyn Dietrich both at home. Special grandma of Ava, Jonah, Sean and Corbin. Cherished daughter of Beth Pehlke of Monkton. Daughter-in-law of John and Alma Dietrich of Mitchell. Dear sister of Eric and Kathy Pehlke of Conestoga Lake, Brian Pehlke of Monkton, Keith and Kathy Pehlke of Stratford, Janet and Donald Buchanan of Monkton and sister-in-law of Marilyn and Carl McMahon of New Hamburg, Jack and Marilyn Dietrich of Stratford, Joan and Wayne Edwards of Windsor, Joyce and Craig Cockle of London. Fondly remembered by her many friends, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and brothers and sisters in Christ. Predeceased by her father Elmer Pehlke, mother-in-law Mildred Dietrich and brother-in-law Murray Dietrich. Diane's family invites relatives and friends to share their memories at the Brenneman Funeral Home, 141 John Street, Atwood (519-356-2382), on Wednesday February 15, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Diane's life will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Monkton on Thursday February 16, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Marvin Bublitz officiating. Spring interment in Redeemer Lutheran Cemetery.
