Charles (Charlie) Gabel

June 13, 1928 to May 2, 2009

Charlie passed away suddenly at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Saturday May 2, 2009 with his family by his side. He resided at RR#3 Listowel and was born 80 years ago in Wallace Township, a son of the late John and Ethel (Love) Gabel. Beloved husband of the late Joyce (Broome) Gabel who predeceased him in 2007. Loving father of Jack and Diane Gabel of RR#1 Listowel, Judy Gabel of Listowel, Joanne and Wayne Whitney of St. Clements, Jeff Gabel and friend Mandy Blakey of Stratford. Cherished grandpa of Matt and Allie, Scott, Kelly, Jay, Joel, Dustin and Carlie. Fondly remembered by his sisters Jean and her husband Lorne Barton of Cobourg, Joyce Cooper of Wellington, his sister-in-law Marj Gabel of Waterloo and by many nieces & nephews. Predeceased by his sister Eileen and her husband Pat Burnett, his brother Don Gabel and brother-in-law Ross Cooper. Charlie's family invites relatives and friends to share their memories at the Brenneman Funeral Home 141 John Street, Atwood (519-356-2382), on Monday May 4, 2009 from 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service to celebrate his life will be held on Tuesday May 5, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Ralph Dwarika officiating. Interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.
