Carol Bateman

December 14, 1954 to January 18, 2022

Carol Bateman of Wroxeter, formerly of Lucknow, passed away at University Hospital, London on Tuesday January 18, 2022 at the age of 67. Carol was a former employee of Spinrite Yarns for over 20 years. She enjoyed reading, knitting and watching old classic TV shows. Carol loved spending time with her family and friends and always made a point of visiting her sisters every week. Beloved wife of the late Earl (Junior) Whitehead who predeceased her in 2021. Loving step-mom of Stacey Whitehead (John Gorrie) and Steven Whitehead and step-grandmother of Theo. Dear sister of Elaine (Roy) Ceal, Mary (Jim) Sproul, Gail (Terry) Sproul, Wendy (Dan) Dillon and Glenda (Gerard) Ducharme. Fondly remembered by her aunts June Cochrane, Joan Bateman, Doris McNeilly and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her parents Bob and Margaret (Cathers) Bateman, her sister Colleen in infancy, and brother-in-law Reinhard Jesse. At the request of the family, proof of vaccination is not required, however face masks must be worn and physical distancing maintained at all times. A private family memorial service to celebrate Carol’s life will be held with Rev. Jeff Hawkins officiating. Spring interment in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Ethel.
