Carl Strickert passed away peacefully at his residence, Fordwich Village Nursing Home, on Wednesday October 13, 2010 at the age of 72. Dear brother of John of Alberta, Walter and Verna of Ethel, Mary and Wayne Hartman of Fergus, Irvin and Shirley of Cranbrook, Frieda and Les Ducharme of Alberta, Lillian and Dave Grandy of Kitchener. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his parents William and Esther (Dittmer) Strickert, brothers Norman and his wife Joan, and Ernie in infancy. Carl's family invites relatives and friends to share their memories at the Brenneman Funeral Home, 141 John Street, Atwood, on Friday October 15, 2010 from 7-9 p.m. A private family service to celebrate his life will be held at the funeral home on Saturday October 16, 2010. Interment to follow in Redeemer Lutheran Cemetery, Monkton.
