Art Brenneman passed away peacefully at Stratford General Hospital on Wednesday February 17, 2010. He resided in Milverton and was born 75 years ago in Wellesley Township, a son of the late Elmer and Edna (Leis) Brenneman. Art was a member of Poole Mennonite Church. He was a well known livestock broker dealing with many local farmers and stockyards. Beloved husband of Dolores (Schultz) Brenneman whom he married in 1957. Loving father of Jim and Judy Brenneman of Atwood and Judy and Rod Shantz of St. Jacobs. Special grandpa of Jeremy and Bev, Justin and Pam, Scott and Nikki, Kathy and Mark. Dear brother of Ken Brenneman of Milverton and brother-in-law of Twila Brenneman of Linwood. Also remembered by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Del and Judy Schultz of Waterloo, Franca Schultz of Las Vegas, Nevada, Ab and Shirley Schultz of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, Wayne and Janet Schultz of Tavistock, Ralph and Dorothy Schultz of RR 4 Stratford, Robert and Karen Schultz of Stratford, Paul and Joan Schultz of Brunner, Garry and Lorraine Schultz of Milton and by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his brother Cliff Brenneman, sister-in-law Emmaline Brenneman, step-father Enos Zehr, brother-in-law Cliff Schultz and nephew James Brubacher. Art's family invites relatives and friends to share their memories at the Brenneman Funeral Home 141 John Street, Atwood (519-356-2382), on Thursday February 18, 2010 from 7-9 p.m. and on Friday February 19, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Art's life will be held at Poole Mennonite Church on Saturday February 20, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Paul Dyck officiating. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery.
