Allen Parkhouse

November 1, 1930 to May 15, 2010

Allen Parkhouse of Atwood, passed away peacefully at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Saturday May 15, 2010 in his 80th year. Allen was well known for his hobby of making rustic bird houses. He enjoyed traveling, camping and attending bluegrass festivals with his wife Ruth. Beloved husband of Ruth (Heibein) Parkhouse whom he married in 1949. Loving father of Peggy and Ken Johnston of Atwood, Harv and Ginny of Listowel, Linda and Gord Coulter, Susie and Clare Schiestel, Brad and Grace all of Atwood. Special grandpa of Terri and Djino, Ryan, Nathan, Brandon, Shawn and Shawna, Todd and Katie, Amanda, Chad and Elise, Erin and Cory, Ben and Stephanie, Alex and Maralee, Andrew and Megan and great grandpa of Dustyn, Talyn, Kylie, Leah, Kayden, Kiyran and Mariah. Fondly remembered by the Heibein family. Predeceased by his parents Harold and Jenny (Peebles) Parkhouse and great granddaughter Sierra Coulter in infancy. In keeping with Allen's wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no funeral home visitation. A private family service to celebrate Allen's life will be held at the Brenneman Funeral Home, Atwood on Tuesday May 18, 2010. Interment in Elma Centre Cemetery, Atwood.
