KIPFER, Alfred – passed away peacefully at his residence in Maples Nursing Home for Seniors, Tavistock on Tuesday February 9, 2016 at the age of 93. Alfred was formerly of Milverton and was a faithful member of Poole Mennonite Church where he served on various committees. He was secretary of Son Light Missions for many years and served on many agricultural boards. Alfred had a passion for family genealogy compiling two family books. Beloved husband of Laura (Roes) Kipfer with whom he celebrated 70 years of marriage. Loving father of Lloyd and Barb Kipfer, Doreen and Don Roth. Cherished grandpa of Brent (Sarah), Bryan (Anita), Bryce (Anjana), Brad (Kelly), Lori (Travis), Dennis (Yvonne) and great grandpa of Joel, Micah, Joanna, Markus, Julia, Lena Kate, Daniel, Nayan, Kiaan, Kingston, Levi, Braeden, Connor, Carter and Zach. Dear brother of Dora Roth and brother-in-law of Esther and Ralph Kropf. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Ephraim and Lydia (Steckly) Kipfer, his sister Marion and Edward Lebold, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Michael Roth, Emma and husbands Raymond Gerber and Amos Steckly, Alvin and Marie Roes, David and Mildred Roes. Visitation will be held at Poole Mennonite Church, 6475 Perth Rd 121, on Thursday February 11 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Friday February 12, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastors Brent Kipfer and Steve Brnjas officiating. Interment to follow in the adjoining church cemetery.
