Alex passed away peacefully at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Friday April 24, 2009. He resided in Atwood and was born 72 years ago in Grey Township, a son of the late Calvin and Lydia (Steiss) Cameron. Alex was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church, Cranbrook. He enjoyed sitting on his patio visiting with friends and family. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Alex was very proud of his 10 grandchildren who visited him often. Beloved husband of Joyce (Paris) Cameron with whom he shared 53 years of marriage. Loving father of Lynn Hunt of Cambridge, Sandra Coghlin of Atwood, Barbara and Don Annett of Listowel, Roger and Kim Cameron of Milverton. Special papa of Cpl. Cameron Hunt and his son Korben, Cheryl Hunt, Jessica, Jamie and Candice Coghlin, Eddie Annett and friend Britany, Jill Annett, Jeff and Mandy Cameron and their daughter Sierra, Chris Cameron and friend Heather and Natasha Cameron. Also remembered by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Jean Mullenix of Mitchell, Lorena Paris of Midland, Murray Sinclair of Aurora, Art and Marie Paris of Halifax and by many nieces & nephews. Predeceased by his sister MaryAnn in infancy and his brother Ross. Alex's family invites relatives and friends to share their memories at the Brenneman Funeral Home, 141 John Street, Atwood (519-356-2382), on Sunday April 26, 2009 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service to celebrate his life will be held on Monday April 27, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Cranbrook Presbyterian Cemetery.
