Jim and Judy Brenneman are the owners and operators of the Brenneman Funeral Home. They have lived in Perth County most of their lives - Jim from a farm north of Milverton and Judy from Millbank. They have two sons Jeremy & Bev and Justin & Pam who assist at the Funeral Home on occasion. They are thoroughly enjoying their four grandchildren, Brysen and Sawyer, children of Jeremy and Bev, and Quinn and Hailey, children of Justin and Pam.
Jim began his career working with Futher Bros. Funeral Home in Wellesley, Mark Jutzi Funeral Home in Milverton and New Hamburg and Dale Lounsbury Funeral Home in Cambridge, gaining knowledge and experience in caring for grieving families in those communities.
Judy worked in the banking industry for over 30 years, most recently with the Bank of Nova Scotia in Stratford, as well as helping at the funeral home part-time. In January 2006, she retired from banking and became a full time assistant at the funeral home.
Dan Carter and Rick Metzger provide assistance at the Funeral Home on a part-time basis. Dan is a retired dairy farmer and Rick a retired truck driver, both from the Milverton area.

The Peebles family operating under the name of J.A. Peebles & Sons Funeral Home began the business on Atwood's Main Street in 1934. Johnston Peebles served the community by supplying funeral services as well as operating a furniture store. In those early years viewing and funeral services took place in the family homes.
In 1950 the Peebles family moved to its present location at 141 John Street to provide a separate location for visitation and services. After Johnston Peebles retired, the business continued under the direction of his sons Jack and Bill, and since 1977 by Jack and his wife Margaret. An addition to the funeral home was added in 1980.
In 2004 Jim & Judy Brenneman took control as the owners/operators of Peebles Funeral Home Ltd. A renovation/addition in 2006 has given the funeral home an accessible entrance into our spacious lobby. Our facilities are now fully accessible for public visitation and services.
In 2007, the name of the funeral home was officially changed to Brenneman Funeral Home Ltd. to better identify those who are now providing the professional and compassionate service for the community of North Perth.
In 2010 an interior renovation involved removing some interior walls resulting in more usable space and a more modern look and feel to the Funeral Home. Property was purchased beside the Funeral Home to provide additional parking.
